What is the most important information I should know about Actonel?

What is Actonel?

What happens if I miss a dose?

What happens if I overdose?

What should I avoid while taking Actonel?

What are the possible side effects of Actonel?

· an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of the throat;swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; or hives);
· difficulty or pain when swallowing;
· pain or burning under the ribs or in the back; or

• Other, less serious side effects may be more likely to occur osteoporosis knee pain. Continueto take Actonel and talk to your doctor if you experience
· abdominal discomfort;
· stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea;
· headache; or
· muscle or joint soreness or aches osteoporosis knee pain.
• Side effects other than those listed here may also occur osteoporosis knee pain. Talk to yourdoctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome osteoporosis knee pain.
What other drugs will affect Actonel?
• Do not take any other medicine, including vitamins, minerals, or othersupplements, at the same time as Actonel unless otherwise directed by your doctor osteoporosis knee pain. Any drug that is taken at the same time as Actonel can decrease the effectsof this medicine osteoporosis knee pain.
• Before taking this medication, tell your doctor if you are taking anyof the following medicines:
· an antacid;
· aspirin; or
· a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) such as ibuprofen (Motrin,Advil, Nuprin, others), ketoprofen (Orudis KT, Orudis, Oruvail), indomethacin(Indocin, Indocin SR), naproxen (Anaprox, Aleve, Naprosyn), oxaprozin (Daypro),nabumetone (Relafen), piroxicam (Feldene), and others osteoporosis knee pain.
• You may not be able to take Actonel, or you may require a dosage adjustmentor special monitoring during treatment if you are taking any of the medicineslisted above osteoporosis knee pain.
