What is the most important information I should know about Adipex?

What is Adipex?
• Adipex is a sympathomimetic amine, which is similar to an amphetamine adipex p 375. It is also known as an "anorectic" or "anorexigenic" drug adipex p 375. Adipex stimulates the central nervous system (nerves and brain), which increasesyour heart rate and blood pressure and decreases your appetite adipex p 375.

Who should not take Adipex?
• You cannot take Adipex if you
· have heart disease or high blood pressure;
· have arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries);
· have glaucoma;
· have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) such as isocarboxazid(Marplan), tranylcypromine (Parnate), or phenelzine (Nardil) in the last 14days; or

· problems with your thyroid,
· an anxiety disorder,
· epilepsy or another seizure disorder, or

How should I take Adipex?

• Changes in insulin and other diabetes drug therapies may be necessaryduring treatment with Adipex adipex p 375.
• Adipex may reduce the effects of guanethidine (Ismelin) adipex p 375. This could leadto an increase in blood pressure adipex p 375. Tell your doctor if you are taking guanethidine adipex p 375.
• Before taking this medication, tell your doctor if you are taking a tricyclicantidepressant such as amitriptyline (Elavil), amoxapine (Asendin), doxepin(Sinequan), nortriptyline (Pamelor), imipramine (Tofranil), clomipramine (Anafranil),protriptyline (Vivactil), or desipramine (Norpramin) adipex p 375. These drugs may decreasethe effects of Adipex adipex p 375.
